Upcoming Spring Release

I am not giving away TOO much information about my upcoming book just yet. You have to wait until the March newsletter. However, I thought I might go ahead and let you know a handful of things in advance.

1. It's the Super Secret Project I wrote back in Summer 2014, finally coming to light!

2. It's a loose (very loose) retelling of "The Twelve Dancing Princesses." Basically, I started with "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" and then did what I wanted, so it's not really a retelling. But you'll definitely see the influence all over the place.

3. It's part of a planned four-book series, but the first book is completely stand-alone.

4. It's a full-length novel. A good bit longer than Starflower, a tiny bit shorter than Dragonwitch. About the same size as Shadow Hand. So no, not anything Golden Daughter in scope, but a nice-sized read nonetheless.

5. And yes . . . as you may have guessed from the banner up above, it is set in the world of Goldstone Wood. It's a spin-off series with it's own main characters, but you will see some familiar faces and meet with some old friends. And make some interesting connections too, because everything is connected . . . .

So there you have it, dear Imps! I hope you're excited for May 16, 2016 and the launch of my new series.

But wait! Hold on there. I think I can get you just a BIT more excited . . .

You know how I'm going to reveal the cover in the upcoming March edition of the Rooglewood Quarterly, Rooglewood Press's mini-magazine? Well, my team and I have decided to do more than that.

Everyone who is subscribed to the Rooglewood Quarterly will have a brief opportunity--between March 18-20--to download the ebook edition of this new story for just $0.99.

That's two months before the publication date!

That's the real ebook version. Not an influencer PDF.

This is a special we are running exclusively for our newsletter subscribers. This version of the Super Secret Project will not be the ABSOLUTE final version. As in, it won't have received it's final proof read. It WILL have received three proof reads beforehand though, so I can safely promise a mostly perfected version of the story.

After March 20, no one will be able to get this book until the release date two months later. So be sure to jump on this opportunity while you can!

What are you waiting for? Sign up for the Rooglewood Quarterly today and don't miss being part of this deal!

Are you excited to learn more about the Super Secret Project? Do leave comments and feel free to chat with other Imps. And don't forget to share this post!

Ahhh, this sounds AMAZING! Our very own Anne Elisabeth publishing a fairy tale retelling? And one set in Goldstone Wood, no less? This couldn't be more perfect.

I'm already subscribed to the newsletter. Can't wait for more details, along with the chance to read the ebook early! :D :D :D

*emits a squeal so high pitched only animals can hear it* I can't wait!

Hold on... I don't have an e-reader. I will have to wait. :( Ah well. At least I can add it to my birthday list since it comes out only three days before my birthday. :) I prefer physical copies of books anyway.

I'm still very excited for more stories from Goldstone Wood!

More Goldstone Wood AND based on one of my favorite fairytales in the history of ever? This is going to be AWESOME. Thank you, Anne Elisabeth!

I'm pretty sure that I am signed up for the newsletter, but I haven't gotten one in a while. Will one be going out anytime soon so that I can make sure?

Super excited now!!! But May is still so far away!

Wait. Did I read this wrong? HOW CAN SOMETHING THIS AWESOME EVEN HAPPEN?!

SQEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Twelve Dancing Princesses in Goldstone Wood?! Oh, YES!! Anne Elisabeth, I'm just SO EXCITED!!! Thank you for being an amazing author!!!!

E.F.B, so long as you have a computer you should be able to read it on there...an e-reader device should not be needed. Amazon has a kindle download for the computer too.

@Bookishqueen - (and anyone else wondering how to find out if they're already signed up for a newsletter... because I just checked my own subscription and now know the answer to the question!) If you already signed up and you sign up again, it will tell you that the email address is already subscribed... you won't end up with two copies of the newsletter. (Unless you have two email addresses or something...) :)

Hannah, I have the Amazon kindle app on both my computer and my phone, but I can't get myself read anything long on either device. Reading on screens strains my eyes too easily, not to mention that I do most of my reading at bedtime and the electronic light makes it hard to sleep afterwards.

I appreciate you trying to help, though. :) I'll just have to be a patient Imp and wait for the official release.

Oh I am excited, even if I don't read ebooks, still another of your amazing stories!

*squealing like a piglet*

I just checked this blog on a whim today, not expecting to see anything until March 1st, and thankyouthankyouthankyou! I had resigned myself to not seeing any more Goldstone Wood for possibly years, and I know this isn't really part of the main series...but still! I am so thrilled right now. I've always loved "Twelve Dancing Princesses" and to combine pieces of that with Goldstone Wood will be amazing! And to get it in March already!!!!!!!!

(Running off now to double check that I'm signed up for the newsletter)

*Hyperventilates from excitement*
You are sooo generous! I will definitely buy it!

Oh, my! I just saw this! How very, very exciting! I love The Twelve Dancing Princesses, so it'll be so neat to see what you've done with it. Oh, I hope I'm able to find a way to purchase it! Think I'm subscribed to Rooglewood Press' Quarterly, but I'm not sure. Will check. And, I'm excited to see how the two series connect. The labyrinthine ways your books intersect is truly amazing to me. Keep up the wonderful work. I am praying for you and all your endeavors.

Merenwen Inglorion said...

This just made my day! Or month. It might take a little while for the excitement to wear off. XD

*fangirls all over the place*
*is nearly 100% sure that a certain cat will make an appearance in such a tale*
*begins detective work by rereading ToGW*

Ah, idk if I'll avail myself of the $0.99 e-book when it's available...I want to so I CAN START READING IT, but at the same time, I'd rather wait for a paperback copy to fondle and add to my shelf. ;)
Maybe I'll get both... :D

Thanks for giving us Imps deals and for always delivering, Anne Elisabeth! I can't wait! ^.^

*gasps* What will the cover be? o_O *prepares self for further amazing-ness*

This is so wonderful--I am so very, very glad that Goldstone Wood continues on (though I perfectly understand whenever you do need to take a break from the series completely!). I echo all of the comments above. Love you so much! *VIRTUAL HUGS ALL AROUND*

This is so exciting!!! :D I'm so ready for another Goldstone Wood novel (and more of Eanrin, *cough cough*). Correct me if I'm wrong, but since this was 2014's "Super Secret Project," isn't there another "Super Secret Project" that's not set in Goldstone Wood that you were working on in 2015? Or am I just getting my Super Secret Project(s) details confused? :P

Deborah O'Carroll said...

Aaahh, I'm so excited! :D (I somehow missed this post till now. o.o) OH MY GOODNESS A TWELVE DANCING PRINCESSES ISH STORY. BY ANNE ELISABETH HERSELF. This is the most exciting news I've heard in a very long time! *unrestrained flailing and undignified fangirl squees* I can't WAIT to hear more details! Will it be available in paperback, I hope? *anxiously awaits newsletter*
