Quick Update to My Patient Readers

As you may have guessed by the total lack of posts on this blog . . . I have no time. None.

The Doings were busy enough before. But now I can't see taking the time even to chronicle them.

And I really am sorry, dear readers!

But I wanted to jump in and give a quick update to all of you who might still be checking this forlorn little site now and then.

Firstly . . . I've been asked if I'll be hosting Fan Art, Fan Fiction, or other contests for Goldstone Wood Imps this year. I am so sorry to say that the answer to that question is, "No." Again, I have no time! And it takes a lot more effort to plan and put together events like that than you might expect. I do apologize, dear readers! Maybe next year, if life has settled a little bit more and some of these deadlines are met.

That being said, you are all PERFECTLY WELCOME to put together your own contests if you like! I'm sure a few of you could work together to organize something if it meant that much to you, and I PROMISE that I would show up and look at every picture, read every story, listen to every piece of music, etc. Seriously.

I simply cannot keep up with it myself this year.

Secondly . . . I've been asked if I'll be having any book releases this year. The answer to this question is much more happily, "Yes!" I have a release coming out in May, and I am totally excited to share it with all of you.

If you want to learn more about that release, SIGN UP FOR THE ROOGLEWOOD PRESS NEWSLETTER. The March edition will be revealing the title, cover, story premise, release date, and pre-orders. So all of that good stuff is happening all at once and quite soon now! No more details will be forthcoming until that time, but the newsletter will reveal all.

I think you will like it a lot. At least, I really hope you will.

Thirdly . . .  My team and I have officially picked the five winners of the Five Magic Spindles contest. HUZZAH! And I don't think I could be happier with our selection if I tried. We have never had quite such a variety of stories in one collection before! I mean, really, people! And the last story selected definitely gave me pain. There were at least two others that I seriously wanted to cram into that space. But sadly seven stories will never fit into five slots. Still, thank you, dear writers, for making my task so difficult! It's a good sort of difficulty to have.

The winners will be announced on March 1 over on the Rooglewood Press page. I'll also post them here so that people can comment and congratulate and enthuse as they like. In the Rooglewood Press newsletter, we'll be giving more detailed introductions to our winners, with mini interviews, author bios, and expanded summaries of the winning stories. (So you won't be getting those expanded summaries on the announcement days as we have done previous years. We're shaking things up a bit. Even more reason to sign up for the newsletter!)

So there is an update for everyone concerned! I'll post more updates as soon as I have them. And in the meanwhile, start the countdown for the contest winners. March 1 is just around the corner . . .

Lovely to "see" you again in the blog-o-sphere! Missed you! But I know how it is when things get too busy to update the blog... that usually means good things are happening behind the scenes.

Speaking of good things. A book release!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Grins like an idiot*

And I am SO excited about finding out who the Five Magic Spindles winners were!!!!

May the Lord bless all your endeavors this year.

Oh, so wonderful to hear from you, Mrs. Anne Elisabeth! And, yes, I'm one who checks on the site, so I always love hearing how things are going. So, so excited that you'll be releasing a book in May! Can't wait to hear more about it. Best wishes with everything. I'm praying. Please don't wear yourself out. I'd love to hear how your trip to India and Schrelanca was. I know it was a blessing to have that time.

Best wishes to all the authors, and I'm so amazed that March is just around the corner. Where is this year going already? Know the book will be wonderful!

God bless.

Okay, FREAKING OUT NOW.

A new book. Releasing in May. Shown in March. MARCH.

ALONG WITH THE WINNERS. Who have already been decided. How can we take such things all in MARCH??? Are you sure you don't want to give one or the other to us on Valentine's Day? ;)

Also, I'd like to try to swing the contests through Dame Imraldera's Library, so I'll take a look at my schedule and see what I can do!

Thanks for the update. I totally understand the constraints time has put on you as I've had that issue myself this year.

Counting down to March 1st!

Just be sure you don't overextend yourself!

Hello there! Of course, the day I forget to check the site is day you post! Happens every time, LOL! xD

It's good to see some new news! There's really no need to apologize for the wait. I figured the blog's silence meant busy Anne Elisabeth was busy, and with everything you've said you have to do in previous updates, I don't blame you! I just hope and pray it's a good kind of busyness.

A new book??? Coming in May?! SQUEEEEE! That's just in time for my birthday! *happy dance* I look forward to learning all about it!

Even more squeeee that the winners of the contest have been chosen! I just last month got around to FINALLY reading the Cinderella retelling collection, and now that I've seen how excellent these collections really are, I'm even more excited to see what this one has to offer! Best wishes to everyone involved!

The next newsletter will be the most anticipated one yet!

Please remember, even with the busy schedule to take some time to rest, Anne Elisabeth! We Imps want you healthy and happy. :) Still praying for you as always.
-Beth

YAYYYYY!!!! As Hannah said above, March will be awesome (especially wonderful that it's my birthday month--so many wonderful gifts!!!) Looking forward to hearing about this new, mysterious book... and, of course, the winners. It should be such a fun bunch of tales!

Is there any way that this year's contest will be announced earlier at all, or do we still have to wait until June? (I know, I know, Patience is a virtue...it's just so hard!) :P

Much love and blessings!!!

Thank you so much for the update. While I'll miss the contests, I'm glad to hear you're able to take a break from something. :) I'm looking forward to March for the newsletter and updates on the contest.

I'm one of those faithful checkers. :) Getting an update is VERY exciting, especially when it mentions the contest (the agony!) and a NEW BOOK! It can't be the Ridiculously Huge Project, since you're still drafting those--I think? I am intensely curious. Can't wait for that newsletter! And for March 1st!

I hope you find moments to breathe in the midst of all the craziness. <3

Thank you for taking time to write a post!
I can't wait for March!

I have missed your "Doings" posts immensely and check from time to time, just in case I missed one. But I knew that the lack of updates stemmed from the fact that you were LIVING all those Doings. So I understand, even though I miss you.
I'm so excited to get an update on the 5MS contest, and it is SO hard to wait until March 1st to find out the winners!!!! But I love hearing you enthuse about the coming collection, and I look forward to hearing more about it, since I am sure it will be wonderful.
Thanks again for all you do, and I hope you have a wonderful month.
(Also I hope that your trip last year went great!)

Anne, I just want to say that I think you're doing a very wise thing here! Sincerely praying for you and for what God has given you. Our Internet communities are valid as friends and people we interact with, but we also so need to sometimes take a break from them and get back to the people who God has put directly in our lives in flesh and blood. May God bless your year!

Thank you so much for the update, I was quite excited when I saw the new post :). I don't know how I'm possibly going to make it until March 1st, I can hardly wait to hear who won!
Can't wait to hear more about your new release, Anne Elisabeth!
