PRINCE OF MY DREAMS - An Animatic

Dear imps, have I ever got a treat for all of you! Just now Melanie J. Morgan sent me her completed animatic!

For those of you who don't know--an animatic is a storyboard of an animated sequence. It offers a visual demonstration of the layout, shots, dialogue, and pacing for a scene. It's not actually animated, but you get a great sense of what a final animation would look and feel like!

As you may recall, this beautiful piece of art was the secondary prize for the Goldstone Wood Music contest. Brittney Kenady's lovely song "Prince of Dreams" was selected for the honor, and the other winner, Camryn Lockhart, pitched in by providing a lively musical accompaniment.

This is a special work for many reasons . . . not least of which is the little sneak-peek glimpses Melanie has tucked into the animation. Watch those statues in the garden. Do you recognize them? There are characters in there from books that haven't even come out yet, including Draven (holding his candle aloft) from the upcoming Draven's Light. Also depicted are the hero and heroine of my current manuscript-in-progress, Untitled Book 8, and even two characters from the Super Secret Project (making a little crossover appearance). Can you name the rest of the statues around whom Princess Una dances and sings?

So, ladies, gentlemen, imps, and Faeriefolk . . . it is my great pleasure to introduce "Prince of Dreams."

I don't think I can possibly express how much I love this. I hope all of you have thoroughly enjoy it! Do take time to give Camryn, Brittney, and most especially Melanie a virtual round of applause. Melanie put in many, many hours of work to make this little gem happen.

I feel completely honored and blessed to see Princess Una's simple little story used to inspire other artists' creativity!

EDIT: If you can't get the video to work here, here's the link to the Youtube video!

OKAY.

THAT. WAS. WONDERFUL. BEAUTIFUL. AWESOME.

Everything about it was great.

And THOSE STATUES! Akilun and Etanun looked fantastic! And who were the super secret project couple??? Perhaps the ones dancing? A CROSS-OVER? Does that mean they are NOT in Goldstone Wood.

Oh...breathe....that was amazing! :D

Well, I'm not saying they AREN'T part of Goldstone Wood . . . and I'm not saying they ARE either, because it's all Super Secret. (But they aren't a couple . . . I'll tell you that much! Just two characters.) ;)

Wow, I do love being mysterious! Hopefully I won't have to keep it up too much longer.

*goes to watch video again*

Now I'm crying, well almost...have to hold back you know...dinner and all.

Congratulations to Melanie, Brittney, Camryn, and of course our dear Anne Elisabeth for such a wonderful piece. It's so exciting to see the results as our young people pursue their dreams. Thanks again to Anne Elisabeth for encouraging their creativity.

Melanie, please keep us updated on your career. I'd love to see where our Lord leads you.

God's blessings to all.

That was amazing! I am grinning from ear to ear. Beautiful in every way--singing, piano, lyrics, and animatics! I ADORE the statues (and I know who they are--heheheh), and Una and Monster are spot-on and so very appealing. Thank you all so much for sharing your talent with us!

@Jill: You know who all the statues are?! I'm going to have to get Hannah back in here and go frame by frame to see if she can pick up any clues. We know several, but there were a couple....

The super secret project is becoming very hard to wait for. How much longer must we wait?

BRAVO. :)

And now I'm entirely extremely curious about this Super Secret project...

Outstanding work, Ms. Melanie, Ms. Brigette and Ms. Cameron. Will you ever consider posting it on YouTube? Lots of people need to see this. God has blessed you all with marvelous talents. Keep up the outstanding work.

And, this mysterious project? So very curious! You cannot keep us in suspense forever! I know Minerva is privy to your doings. Perhaps we can prevail upon her to provide us with a little morsel of information? She might do so for a price. I've heard talk of her.

Thanks so much for sharing. Such incredible work! God bless.

Regrettably I have not the time nor the words nor the ability to type on my mother's iPhone to express how thankful and blessed I am by all your encouragement!!! Thank you all so much!!! All three of us worked so tremendously hard and it's so wonderful to see people appreciate the fruits of our labor!

Nowwww, I haven't told anyone yet, not even Anne Elisabeth, but have you guys caught all the Heartless foreshadowing I MYSELF threw in?! Let's see if you guys can catch them all! There's a good few thrown in there. :)

I want to thank you all again so much!! We all worked really hard and I loved doing it!

Blessings!
Melanie

(Forgive me if my post has technical issues) :)

Loved it! That was really well put together.

Well, I saw the painting of the dragon and a knight fighting, but I wasn't sure if it was the Dragon and the Prince or Hri Sora and Etanun! :D

That was really good. It was humorous and well animated. I only spotted the dragon. What on earth were you doing to that cat to make it make that sound???

That's beautiful!! I really loved it! Great job Camryn, Melanie, Brittney! : D

That was wonderful!!! I really enjoyed all of it! I also had to laugh when Una was swinging or petting Monster, just think what Eanrin's thoughts about mortals would be at that moment!
I was able to recognize Akilun and Etanun, and I also saw this other guy who I know was in Dragonwitch, maybe.......the chronicler? IDK!

Anyway,

Thank you Camryn, Melanie, and Brittney for the wonderful animatic!

@Hannah: Bravo, dearie!! You caught the hardest one to find! The tapestry was probably created to feature Hri Sora and Etanun, but isn't it interesting how it bears a certain resemblance to the climax of our tale? ;)

@Jemma: hahaha, ironically enough, the little old bucket of fuzz always sounds like that! :P We just dangled some food over him to give him some incentive to make some noise. ;)

Thanks so much you guys!
