About the Book:
Escaping from the turmoil of her home,
fifteen-year-old Posy finds herself at her usual haunt: the library.
When she chooses an unfamiliar book from the shelf, she doesn't devour
its words as she usually does . . .
Its words devour her.
Posy is pulled into the pages of a fairy tale in turmoil. Characters whisper of rebellion against their Plot. And Posy must find a lost princess whose role in the story is crucial, before her own part in the book comes to a horrible end.
With the haughty Prince Kyran as a reluctant companion, Posy ventures past the Borders of the Plot, into the depths of the treacherous Wild Land forest beyond. Secrets are buried there, dangerous and deadly.
Yet the darkest secret of all is the one Posy carries within herself.
Soon it's clear that finding the lost princess is the least of Posy's concerns. The Author of the book must be found. His Plot must be put to rights again, the characters reminded of whom they were first created to be. Only then will the True Story be written, both for Posy and for the tale she has now become a part of.

ReplyDeleteThe new cover is simply gorgeous! I've been waiting for a chance (read: the money) to buy a copy of your novel and now I really want to get my hands on it. :D It's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this book before, but I've heard wonderful things about it and the blurb makes it seem like just the book I would like to read. Characters journeying within a book? Um, yes please. And the cover is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks so much, girls! And I hope you get the chance to read it! Now and then I get around the whole "purchasing a book I want to read" thing by requesting my library buys it instead. Nine times out of ten, they oblige! It's worth a try, at least ;) Thanks again for the kind comments!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Ms. Willis. I so want to read the book and have placed it on the wish list of www.bookshare.org, a site that produces Braille electronic versions of books. In fact, I've put it on the wish list twice since they only keep requests on it for two months. The premise of the story is excellent. Keep up the outstanding work. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteAmazing cover for an amazing book! I can see someone making a movie from it one day! Can't wait for your next novel!
ReplyDeleteYour book sounds like an exciting adventure that I want to take. I love the cover of it, it looks beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteMost beautiful of covers! One of my favorites for sure!! I very much look forward to reading your book, as Posy's story sounds like one I would hate to miss out on. :D
ReplyDeleteI appreciate everyone's wonderful comments!!
ReplyDeleteI must say that I owe a lot of the success of this awesome cover to Anne Elisabeth's very kind advice and help throughout the process, which was a new one for me! She has much more insight into cover art, the dos and don'ts and details, than I have, and very patiently answered my many questions and requests for opinions along the way. And now here she is hosting my cover reveal (for the second time, no less!). I simply can't say enough good things about her ... but I'm sure I don't need to convince any of YOU of her sweet character!! :)
Thanks so much once again, Anne Elisabeth :D
WOW! Ashlee, the cover is epic!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the new cover!
ReplyDeleteThe new cover art is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful cover! The color, the design, the book...and the owl! I love the owl! The cover and the summary really makes me want to read the book.
ReplyDeleteI've had the same results as Ms. Willis with our library. If I put in a request, they usually will purchase it. One of our librarians told me that they love to see their patrons requests for books. Otherwise they have to go with what is popular in the larger market, which isn't always good.
Oooh, the new cover is lovely!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous new cover for The Word Changers!!! It's just amazing, I love it, Ashlee!! :)
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to read it over again!! :) :)
Blessings!
This book sounds absolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate everyone's wonderful compliments! So glad you like it :)

By the way, did you know that you only need to read for 6 minutes to reduce stress levels by 68 %? I wrote a blog post about it.
Reading has a lot of benefits.
