In the
stillness of the silence
In
the darkness of the night
As
the day blooms golden bright
In
the coldest depths of winter
On
the brightest summer day
There
comes the sound of Thrush song
To
lead you not astray
In
the worry of this lifetime
In
the doubts that play their tune
There
comes the sound of Thrush song
Glowing
silver as Hymlume
In
the midst of all the tragedy
In
the middle of all the strife
There
comes the sound of Thrush song
That
promises new life
So
when you cannot find your path
When
in the dark you wander
Wait
to hear the soft Thrush song
From across the Final Waters

Gorgeous Savannah!!
ReplyDeleteHow very lovely and so very true. I love how this poem is song-like, how it can be applied not only to Goldstone Wood but our every day trials. Phenomenal job!
ReplyDeleteOh. Oh. Beautiful. :) I love it. So wonderful. And like Meredith said: So Goldstone Wood, but so everyday life. :)
ReplyDelete-Rebekah Lawrence (AKA Rebekah L. and Stargazer)
One of my favorite poems. Simple, timeless poetry style yet encompasses the entire series so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThank you all! I'm a little surprised at myself for entering a poem ... I normally never read or write poetry :). Eanrin would be appalled.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I'm glad you all enjoyed it! ~Savannah P.
Beautiful poem! Like others said, this works so well we with everyday life as well. Very good job!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful poem, Savannah, dear!! It does have a real song-like quality to it, I actually found my mind constructing tunes all on its own to fit the lyrics! I really really love the hope quality that encompasses this thing...it's so bright and fills you with warmth even during the moments you feel like poodoo.... (not kidding)
ReplyDeleteIn short, as cliche as it sounds I really truly love this poem, it's so beautiful....bravo!!

So simple, yet so intricate. I tried to read the poem, but the poem kept on singing to me instead (it had a beautiful voice, by the way). It was outstanding to say the least.
