I actually didn't notice it the first time ...1. I actually didn't notice it the first time I read the book. The problem with me is, I read a book the first time through very quickly (to get the story-line), then I reread it to get the characters, then I reread it to get small details I missed, then I reread it because the book is so awesome. So I completely missed most of the little tidbits you added into "Heartless" the first time around (but I reread it three times in two weeks, and three or four more times after that, so now I've noticed a lot more.:D). Now I know better and I read your books very very carefully so that I get EVERYTHING the first time. :)

2. I didn't really think of the dragons as anything but dragons the first time around... I thought they would definitely come into the story and burn some stuff down, but I didn't realize how important they were until they actually appeared in the story. And I most certainly didn't hazard any guesses at how they procreated. I guess I just assumed that they would lay eggs or something... the truth was much more disturbing. :PAnna C.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-63589279476896886612012-12-14T10:27:08.138-05:002012-12-14T10:27:08.138-05:00@Abigail: I'll just preen and tell myself that...@Abigail: I'll just preen and tell myself that it was a completely intentional Literary Nod . . . :) "I've never had another writer offer me a Literary Nod before!" says I, with sparkly-eyed delight.Anne Elisabeth Stenglhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09462605949792523331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-21694200836385568122012-12-14T10:19:21.957-05:002012-12-14T10:19:21.957-05:00Whoaaaa...!
