Yes! I ALWAYS love to hear more about Una!...Haha! Yes! I ALWAYS love to hear more about Una! Well, she would have to hear the joke! After all, "Apple Bald" wasn't intended for the Dragon's benefit, and Fairbird wouldn't have gotten the reference, so someone would have had to have been there to enjoy it! I can just picture Aethelbald and Una visiting Fidel and Felix, and Una mentions that Aethelbald had actually gone by "Apple Bald" before. Then there's Fidel's quiet chuckling and Felix's scarcely-contained fit of laughter. :) I love scenes with that family! (Just in case you can't tell. :P)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08745444401384420773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-30049051188667361422014-09-14T16:46:28.930-04:002014-09-14T16:46:28.930-04:00This is most beautiful, Allison, my dear!! Life is confusing and messy, and knowing the right thing to do and seeing the good and bad effects of your actions are such REAL concepts. I rarely see those concepts explored, let alone done so well! It really makes the reader feel completely involved in Fairbird's conflict of trying to right her mistakes. Well done darling! :D

Tee hee, Apple Bald! Oh gosh I love that man. Well, ...Wow, I got to be the first one to comment! Well, I think it is tremendous Anne is willing to be open to other people's fiction dovetailing into her own! By doing that, you are creating a unique little fictional community here. I believe God will bless this!

I am raising a troop of girls in our church who are interested in fiction, so watch out world as they begin to write!

Allison, this story is really good! I can see how the themes that Anne writes on have influenced you: the idea of going up the mountain, not knowing what you will find, being changed by your experience, and coming back down.

For me as a minister, it's very interesting, because when you worship, you basically ascend God's mountain, break bread with him in a very mysterious way, are changed, humbled, and come back down the mountain.

Your story helped me to see this theme in Anne's writing as well. I realize that I need to read Starflower and Dragonwitch to understand this better.Psalms w guitarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00847581096934828921noreply@blogger.com
