The Dragon was scary, but the Lady is so annoyingly bad that I really really really don't like her. She's ALWAYS hounding Leo for his dreams, and the poor guy doesn't know! Well, Death-in-Life and Destroyer of Dreams go together well. After all, when your dreams are destroyed, it's easy to fall into despair. Life-in-Death . . . don't really know. But when I reread Heartless, I discovered a very interesting quote from Diarmid concerning when he ran from the Prince of Farthestshore. "Hounded down, exhausted..." Was this entirely coincidental? It's such an incredible foreshadowing. :)Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15674350834544871474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-34750834413031285042013-12-18T17:41:44.681-05:002013-12-18T17:41:44.681-05:00Thank you so much for answering my questions, Mrs....Thank you so much for answering my questions, Mrs. Anne Elisabeth. Yes, Lionheart sees a painting of Starflower in Imraldera's library and wonders why the Hound replaces the thrush. So excited that you might have a novella planned for Mousehand one day! I'd never picked up on his quote about Faerie eyes until this read-along, so it really got me to thinking. However, the eyes of love are the best, anyway.

1. I think the Dragon and his sister like to think they are in control but know they are not. This fact explains why they cannot withstand Eshkhan's presence.

2. The names fit perfectly, for Death-In-Life incinerates people's dreams and Lady Life-In-Death makes dreams come true. I think Lady Life-In-Death is the more frightening because she manipulates situations so that people think they are receiving what they desire. In actuality, she makes them miserable. They live, but they live a cursed life. She is far more subtle than her brother. Mind you, he can be extremely frightening and manipulative as well, so they are both formidable foes.Meredithnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-76164659341421225022013-12-18T17:24:13.590-05:002013-12-18T17:24:13.590-05:001.I think that in the very depth of their minds th...1.I think that in the very depth of their minds they know that they have no real control over the lives of mortals or fairie

2.Yes I think the names fit, I think the lady is more frightening but I would hate to have my dreams destroyed, forfilled would be nice, but NOT by her!

JemmaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-32406949259497373152013-12-18T16:27:00.397-05:002013-12-18T16:27:00.397-05:001. I think they truly believe themselves to be in charge, but perhaps the Sister might be more aware that they might not truly have as much control as they think.

2. Very interesting questions, I hadn't really thought of it this way before. I think in some ways the "Destroyer of Dreams" might be a bit more frightening, while his Sister is more creepy.
Having your dreams destroyed might be more terrible - though I guess it depends on what your dreams are with respect to them being fulfilled, or perhaps exactly how they are fulfilled (I'm thinking the whole idea of "be careful what you wish for" here) - perhaps having them fulfilled could be more terrible.

3. My favorite part: Flames fall from between his teeth and land in sparks upon the misty floor. “She will return within a year and a day.”
“Or what?”
“Or suffer my wrath.”
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13684809766255483648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-65992556725734600182013-12-18T16:20:30.315-05:002013-12-18T16:20:30.315-05:00Off topic, where does the name Rooglewood come fro...Off topic, where does the name Rooglewood come from?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06401287896327956210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-3210589912271373692013-12-18T14:52:50.841-05:002013-12-18T14:52:50.841-05:00My other question is,does Rose Red like Leo?My other question is,does Rose Red like Leo?Judynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-17971770121450797352013-12-18T14:48:42.160-05:002013-12-18T14:48:42.160-05:00My question is,does Foxbrush like Daylily? My question is,does Foxbrush like Daylily?Judynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-30250544686862513082013-12-18T14:45:41.059-05:002013-12-18T14:45:41.059-05:001.I think Life-in-death and death-in-life believe ...1.I think Life-in-death and death-in-life believe they are in charge of all the mortals.
2.Yes.I find the Dragon more frightening.I would find it terrible to have my dreams destroyed.
3."You haven't kissed her yet."Judynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-12373990519298254992013-12-18T14:45:05.651-05:002013-12-18T14:45:05.651-05:001.I think they do believe that they are in charge ...1.I think they do believe that they are in charge of men.
2.Yes I do think their names fit their roles,I find the Destroyer of Dreams more frightening.I would probably find it more terrible to have my dreams destroyed.
3."You gave her to him.My princess!My prize!You gave her to him like a gift."Ruthnoreply@blogger.com
