I'm glad you enjoyed my rendition.

Meredith: Your wonderful comments are always such a blessing to me, Meredith!I'm glad enjoyed the story!

Mom and I have read all five of the Goldstone Wood books together nearly two times over! We'll probably start on 'Dragonwitch' for the second time soon. It was a very special time. It was the first time in a long while that I shared a book with Mom, and discovering that she loved the stories as well, encouraged me to share my own stories, which beforehand I had been pretty shy about.

And I agree, we are in such a dilemma on who to vote for. There's way too many good ones! Interesting that you did not bluntly state her "True Name," but I might have an inkling as to what it is. I liked your element of ambiguity in that regard. This tale was so very beautiful, especially how she encounters the Hound. Panther Master is such a fascinating character, so it was phenomenal to encounter him in his younger days. Terrific job, Hannah.

Do you and your mother read the Goldstone Wood books aloud together very often? My mom read me Veiled Rose before it became available in Braille. She's not a fantasy lover, but she loved that story, which shows the depth of this series. It was a wonderful time of bonding for us as we speculated about what was going to happen next. I know your time spent reading to your mother is very special.

God bless, and thanks so very much for this lovely story. I'm really in a pickle. I simply do not know how I'm going to narrow down my favorites to just three! These tales are great, and the talent is unbelievable!Meredithnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-74764061366702453062013-08-06T17:49:10.148-04:002013-08-06T17:49:10.148-04:00Wow. It was wonderful reading about her; she deserved a story of her own. The writing was very good, as well. :-)Kira Thomashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01068911623966107135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7102067376746188002.post-42735987329027545762013-08-03T11:25:24.949-04:002013-08-03T11:25:24.949-04:00Thank you, everyone! This was a great story, one that emphasized the themes in Starflower, but also informed me of backstory never gone into in the books. Great story and writing!S.F.
