My sister and I liked the old covers, too (they really stand out on the bookshelf :)). And we both have a kind of silly question...if you had stuck with the old designs, would the color for the Heir of Hope cover have been green?
Hi Annie! I love fantasy and just finished the rough draft for the first book in a whole new series, a fantasy steampunk. Steampunk is a genre where the world building is similar to the 1800's Victorian era or wild west with a science fiction or fantasy spin to it. I am really excited about writing in a new(ish) genre and this new story :)
ReplyDeleteAs far as writing, I'm a mother of 4 kids, so I can't afford to wait for the muse to show up, and if she does, it's usually while I'm making dinner or helping my kids with homework. So instead, I write a certain amount of words every weekday when I'm working on a rough draft. Depending on the length of the book, it can take me 6 months to a year to finish the rough draft. However, I write pretty clean rough drafts, so I don't have to go back and rewrite a lot. And that's how I do it ;)
Merenwen, first, I absolutely love your name! A great fantasy name :) My husband and I are like you and sister with books: we fight over who gets to read it first ;)
